Layers & Canvas Settings
Understanding Layers in the Workspace
Every asset, generation, and edit can exist as its own manageable layer.
What Becomes a Layer
Each uploaded asset, generated result, and edit pass can appear as its own layer in the Layers panel.

Managing Layers
Reorder layers by dragging them up or down the stack.
- Hide a layer temporarily without deleting it.
- Lock a layer to prevent accidental changes.
Why Use Layers
Layers make it easy to compare an edit against your original, or combine multiple elements — like a Model Lab result and a Generator background — before exporting a single flattened output.
Workspace Settings: What Can I Adjust Before Generating?
The controls available before you click Generate, across every tool.
Canvas Settings
- Aspect ratio and output canvas size.
Generation Settings
- Style or intensity settings specific to the active tool.
- Reference strength — how closely a result should match your uploaded source.

The credit cost for your current settings is always shown before you confirm a generation, so there are no surprises.
